Missy Chase Lapine is the author of a cookbooks series called The Sneaky Chef. The Sneaky Chef has been featured on the New York Times Bestseller’s list. Missy isn’t your run-of-the mill cookbook author, either. She used to be a publisher for ‘Eating Well’ magazine and has also been a teacher of cooking at culinary institutes in New York.

Missy knows her stuff and she shows it in The Sneaky Chef. The main idea behind The Sneaky Chef is to get kids to eat healthy foods that are disguised as yummy favorites. The best thing about The Sneaky Chef is that it is literally for everyone – not just kids. As an adult I am a picky eater, I just hate ‘healthy’ foods, so The Sneaky Chef is amazing at allowing me to get healthy options without sacrificing taste. Even if you know the foods are in there, you don’t care because it tastes that good.

The Sneaky Chef comes chock-full of healthy recipes for everyone. The recipes are so simple and easy to make that they are perfect for any busy family trying to watch their waistlines or lose weight. Most of the recipes take between 10-20 minutes total to make, with a lot being able to be partially prepared ahead of time, then frozen and used at a later date. With over 200 healthy recipes you will never run out of great options to eat.

The great thing about The Sneaky Chef is that you won’t be sneaking forever. Over time you start incorporating the actual food into the meal as a side dish or snack so you and the family can get used to (and start to enjoy) the foods you used to hate.

The Sneaky Chef costs on average $15 per cookbook, each full of around 200 recipes. In the book you will get sample meal plans that incorporate the foods with hidden ingredients as well as fresh ingredients that are eaten as-is. While there are no specific exercise routines or workouts with these books, you can incorporate your regular workout routine with this healthier eating. There is one edition titled Sneaky Fitness: Fun, Foolproof Ways To Slip Fitness Into Your Child’s Everyday Life that does just what it says; it gives you sneaky ways to get your kids and family moving, which will get you going and burning calories at the same time.

The Sneaky Chef is good for the whole family and prevents everyone from eating different food. With The Sneaky Chef the entire family can jump on the healthy lifestyle bandwagon.
